Who was Hiring? A Sector-by-Sector Look at Uganda’s STEM Employers in Q1 2026
Knowing which jobs are trending is one thing. Knowing who is actually behind those vacancies is another. In Q1 2026, 202 STEM job listings on JobHunter Ug. came from 120 unique organisations spread across 12 sectors. That breadth alone tells a story that Uganda’s STEM hiring is not concentrated in a handful of large employers. It is distributed, diverse, and driven by a wide range of institutional mandates.
The figures presented here reflect the listings on our platform during the January to March 2026 period. They are a market snapshot, not a comprehensive census, and the number of postings from any given organisation in any given quarter reflects their recruitment needs at that specific time and not necessarily their size, significance, or overall hiring activity.
