Ask Thoughtful Questions

Nothing deflates an interview faster than ending with, “No, I don’t have any questions.” Or worse — asking the same tired ones they hear from everyone, like “When should I expect to hear from you?” Sure, you’ll get an answer, but you’ll also leave no impression.

Instead, use this moment to stand out. Ask about impact, culture, and vision: “What does success in this role look like after six months?”, “How does this team measure performance?”, or “What upcoming projects are you most excited about?” And for extra depth, show you care about the bigger picture with something like: “What are your environmental sustainability practices?” .
These questions say more than “I want the job.” They say, “I’m thinking ahead, I want to contribute, and I care about what your company stands for.” That kind of curiosity is confidence in action.
