SUMMARY: Integrated Logistics Services - Tilenga Limited is seeking a Workshop Manager to support freight forwarding operations in Uganda. The role focuses on workshop administration, fleet maintenance coordination, procurement, inventory control, workshop systems, reporting, vendor management, and QHSE compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily workshop administrative operations, including procurement, inventory control, job planning, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
Lead workshop coordination meetings and supervise workshop administrators and foremen.
Manage workshop systems, including MAXIMO or other approved systems, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
Coordinate stock counts, reconcile inventory records, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
Manage procurement of spare parts, tires, oils, and lubricants, including international procurement and vendor negotiations.
Prepare operational reports, support SOP development, ensure housekeeping, and maintain QHSE compliance.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration, workshop, automotive, or a similar industry.
Training in Engineering or Mechanical disciplines is preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a fleet of more than 20 trucks.
Knowledge of URA customs procedures and electro-hydraulic systems.
Experience using fleet management systems; Telematix preferred.
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, SPSS, and standard office applications.
