SUMMARY: The International Livestock Research Institute is seeking three Research Fellows to support livestock research in induced pluripotent stem cells and assisted reproductive technologies. The fellowship focuses on stem cell biology, embryo technologies, livestock reproductive biotechnology, laboratory research, data management, and capacity development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support design and implementation of laboratory experiments related to stem cell biology and embryo technologies.
Support sample collection, preparation, handling, and processing according to established protocols.
Maintain laboratory records and support data entry, management, and basic analysis.
Participate in literature reviews, journal clubs, and research team meetings.
Document experimental procedures, SOPs, and prepare technical reports.
Support laboratory organisation, inventory management, biosafety, and quality standards.

Requirements
Must be a citizen of Uganda or India.
Must be affiliated with a recognised livestock breeding or research institution in Uganda or India.
Early-career practitioner in stem cell biology, assisted reproductive technologies, or a closely related field.
Strong interest in livestock biotechnology and reproductive technologies.
Basic laboratory skills in molecular biology, cell culture, embryology, or related techniques are an added advantage.
Proficiency in English and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
