SUMMARY: UNICEF is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the Regional Working Group Secretariat for Immunization in West and Central Africa during its chairing period. The role focuses on technical coordination, monitoring, partner engagement, and support to immunization planning and country processes across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate implementation of the RWG annual workplan, including support to Gavi 6.0 holistic application, VPOP processes, and NIS development and reprogramming.
Coordinate partner support for country application processes, including roadmaps, technical inputs, timelines, and cross-working-group alignment.
Organize and coordinate RWG meetings, including agendas, background notes, summaries, minutes, and decision tracking.
Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards for readiness, NIS progress, and partner technical assistance tracking.
Produce quarterly monitoring reports, situation analyses, risk alerts, and follow-up tracking on RWG actions and feedback.
Facilitate coordination among regional partners and support country briefings, analytics, profiles, and quality assurance of technical assistance.

Requirements
Advanced university degree in Public Health, Global/International Health, Health Policy and Management, or another field relevant to immunization.
At least 8 years of relevant professional experience at national and international levels in primary health care.
Substantive experience and technical knowledge in immunization.
Demonstrated experience coordinating health and immunization processes, programmes, and/or strategies.
Strong communication, negotiation, and technical report-writing skills.
Fluency in English and French required; experience with UN agencies is an asset.
