SUMMARY: IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Data Officer to support Ethiopia mission projects from a Kampala-based remote role. The role focuses on data analysis, research cycle support, dashboard maintenance, data quality improvement, and technical supervision of country-level data teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support assessment teams in methodology design, tool development, sampling, data cleaning, analysis, and process automation.
Estimate research cycle deadlines and resource needs, and help manage risks to keep deliverables on track.
Review information products and dissemination strategies to align with IMPACT research standards.
Support country teams to improve data quality, geospatial data management, and data monitoring systems.
Provide technical guidance and training to data teams on analysis, tools, and troubleshooting.
Maintain mission dashboards in Power BI and Shiny and contribute to development of new dashboards

Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Fluency in English.
Strong skills in R and data cleaning and analysis workflows.
Proven skills in Power BI and Shiny.
Excellent communication and data visualisation skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently, and operate effectively in an intercultural environment; previous regional experience is highly preferred.
