SUMMARY: African Development Bank is seeking a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer to support enterprise AI solutions within its Applications and Innovations Division. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and integrating AI systems including Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions, AI copilots, agentic AI workflows, and predictive analytics models.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI and machine learning solutions aligned with business needs.
Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems, AI copilots, agentic AI workflows, and predictive models.
Work with data teams to identify, extract, clean, and integrate data for model training and evaluation.
Fine-tune, validate, monitor, and maintain AI models to ensure performance and reliability.
Integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems and develop automated pipelines for deployment and maintenance.
Produce full technical documentation, workflows, and source code for developed solutions.

Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in enterprise AI solutions and machine learning models; or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Experience with pre-built AI models and services including OpenAI GPT, Azure GPT, Gemini, and Azure Cognitive Services.
Hands-on experience in AI coding, data ingestion, vector databases, LLMs, APIs, prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and AI security.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; at least one cloud practitioner certification is an advantage.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, data pipelines, version control, enterprise integrations, and agile development environments.
