SUMMARY: African Population and Health Research Center is seeking Qualitative and Quantitative Field Interviewers to support data collection for the WFP-Home Grown School Feeding Program Project in Karamoja. The role focuses on interviews, observations, consent documentation, electronic data collection, field reporting, and support to research activities on school feeding and nutrition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and recruit eligible study participants.
Obtain and document informed consent before interviews.
Conduct interviews, observations, and electronic data collection using approved tools.
Submit completed interviews and survey responses within agreed timelines.
Attend training, field debrief meetings, and support verification of collected data.
Safeguard assigned data collection tools, equipment, and study materials.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree for Qualitative Field Interviewers in Environmental Sciences, Public Health, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Human Nutrition, or related fields.
Minimum diploma for Quantitative Field Interviewers in Environmental Sciences, Public Health, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Human Nutrition, or related fields.
Previous experience in similar field research, interviews, observations, or electronic data capture is required.
Ability to communicate in English, Luganda, Swahili, and local languages spoken in Karamoja.
Must reside in Karamoja region districts including Abim, Amudat, Kaabong, Karenga, Kotido, Moroto, Nabilatuk, Nakapiripirit, or Napak.
Must be fully available for training and the full data collection period.
