SUMMARY: Humanity & Inclusion is seeking a Regional Health Specialist to support health programming across the East, Central and Southern Africa division. The role focuses on regional health strategy, technical quality, programme development, partnerships, and capacity strengthening across humanitarian and development contexts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead development, monitoring, and implementation of the regional health strategy in line with global and regional frameworks.
Provide technical support to health projects across development, emergency, and protracted crisis contexts.
Support project design, implementation, evaluation, and quality control across health programming.
Contribute to concept notes, proposals, results frameworks, and budgets for new and ongoing programmes.
Represent the organisation in regional and national coordination, advocacy, and partnership forums.
Strengthen learning, documentation, research, and capacity building for staff and partners across the region.

Requirements
Master’s degree in public health, global health, health system management and policy, or another health-related Master’s degree.
Specialization in at least one of the following: MHPSS, SRHR, ECD, or health equity.
At least 3 years of relevant field experience in the health sector, preferably in East, Central, or Southern Africa.
Experience working across development, humanitarian response, and/or health emergency settings.
Strong knowledge of social determinants of health, health equity, intersectionality, human rights, health systems strengthening, and health prevention and promotion.
Excellent English required; French highly desirable; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
