SUMMARY:The Public Service Commission is seeking a Principal Engineer to support Water for Production infrastructure and systems. The role focuses on planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and sustainability of water infrastructure for agricultural, industrial, energy, and multipurpose use.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Improve functionality of Water for Production facilities through sustainable operation and maintenance frameworks.
Support planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of water infrastructure for production use.
Support construction of dams and valley tanks for livestock production and productivity.
Support construction of irrigation schemes for production and productivity.
Support construction of bulk water systems for multipurpose use.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements
Must be a Ugandan citizen.
Honours bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related listed field.
Registration with the Uganda Engineers’ Registration Board is required for Engineers.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience, including 3 years as a Senior Engineer in Government.
Postgraduate Diploma in Management is an added advantage.
