SUMMARY: UNDP is seeking a National Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) in Uganda. The role focuses on managing national project activities, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting the implementation of biodiversity finance solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate implementation of the national BIOFIN work plan and budget
Supervise national consultants and technical experts delivering project outputs
Organize stakeholder workshops and support the establishment of coordination mechanisms
Monitor project risks and ensure activities are delivered within timelines and budgets
Lead national monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes
Prepare technical reports, briefing notes, and communication materials

Requirements
Master’s degree in Environment, Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity, or related field (or bachelor’s degree with additional relevant experience)
Minimum 2 years’ experience with a master’s degree or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree in environmental, biodiversity, or finance-related projects
Experience coordinating projects with international and national stakeholders
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
Ability to manage work plans, budgets, and project reporting
Proficiency in MS Office and data handling
