SUMMARY: Bishop Stuart University is seeking a Lecturer in Biology to support teaching in the biological sciences. The role focuses on undergraduate biology instruction, laboratory practicals, student mentorship, research skills, and applied learning in life sciences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach undergraduate biology courses through lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
Design and deliver lab practicals, including preparing materials and supervising student experiments.
Develop syllabi, course materials, assessments, and grade student work with feedback.
Advise students academically and mentor them on research or career opportunities.
Contribute to curriculum enhancement, programme assessment, seminars, committees, and outreach activities.
Maintain safe, inclusive lab and classroom environments.

Requirements
Doctoral degree or master’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Ecology, or a related field.
At least 3 years of teaching experience for master’s degree holders.
Practical experience in biological research, fieldwork, or lab techniques.
Strong laboratory and fieldwork skills, including knowledge of safety protocols and modern biological techniques.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and student guidance skills.
Commitment to Christian values, ethical science, environmental stewardship, and inclusive STEM education.
