Junior Consultant — Pandemic Fund and Quality Health Infrastructure

SUMMARY: The African Development Bank is seeking a Junior Consultant to support its engagement with the Pandemic Fund and implementation of the Strategy for Quality Health Infrastructure in Africa. The role focuses on project implementation support, internal coordination, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and technical support to Regional Member Countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support implementation of SQHIA and Pandemic Fund projects in line with Bank procedures and the Financial Procedures Agreement.
Coordinate Pandemic Fund activities within the Bank, country offices, task managers, and implementing entities.
Liaise with resource mobilization teams and task managers on implementation, coordination, and reporting.
Monitor, report, and communicate Pandemic Fund activities implemented by the Bank.
Provide technical support to eligible Regional Member Countries during calls for proposals and co-financing identification.
Maintain implementation records, document lessons learned, prepare briefs, and attend relevant Pandemic Fund meetings.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, or equivalent.
At least 5 years’ experience in the health sector, development policy, and project management.
Demonstrated experience in similar assignments.
Knowledge of international development, health and development, and African development contexts.
Experience with multilateral development bank operations and the Pandemic Fund is an added advantage.
Excellent English and French language capability, with strong report writing, communication, stakeholder engagement, and MS Office skills.
Applicant must be less than 32 years old at the time of contract signing and during contract execution.
