SUMMARY: Seaowl is seeking a Lead Contracts Engineer to support contractual and commercial management for the Tilenga Project. The role focuses on contract administration, contractor correspondence, change orders, claims support, compliance, commercial negotiations, and contract close-out.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage contractual and commercial activities for EI, Field Operations, EPC, and shared service contracts up to close-out.
Ensure contract documents such as performance bonds, bank guarantees, invoices, insurance certificates, subcontracts, and confidentiality undertakings are consistent and adequate.
Prepare official correspondence with contractors and attend routine contractor meetings.
Support negotiation of change orders on contractual and commercial matters.
Assist with claims management and timely issuance of interim and final certificates.
Support compliance with Ugandan law, procurement procedures, H3SE rules, ethics, and project code of conduct.

Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of practical, relevant, and progressive experience in complex technical contracts.
Experience in preparation, negotiation, and monitoring of contracts in onshore and offshore oil or petrochemical industries.
International project experience is required.
Knowledge of contractor remuneration models, contract processes, amendments, close-out, project controls, commercial, legal, and insurance issues.
Construction, civil works, and FIDIC contract experience are added advantages.s.
