SUMMARY: The United Nations Office at Nairobi is seeking an Information Systems Officer to support conference and meeting technology services. The role focuses on operational leadership for conference systems, AV technologies, digital transformation, procurement support, business continuity, technical documentation, and team supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead conference technology operations, including interpretation systems, AV control, webstreaming, recording, video conferencing, digital signage, and captioning.
Supervise and mentor conference support staff, junior officers, contract staff, and temporary staff rosters.
Coordinate ICT and conference technology requirements for calendar and non-calendar meetings.
Support procurement planning, technical evaluations, cost proposals, billing, and cost recovery for conference technology services.
Develop policies, standards, operating procedures, technical documentation, training materials, and KPI reports.
Support digital transformation, data analysis, business continuity, disaster recovery, and service improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Advanced university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in the listed fields plus 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in large-scale conference management and simultaneous interpretation systems, AV control, hybrid meeting platforms, webstreaming, video conferencing, broadcasting, and recording systems.
At least 2 years of experience managing ICT technicians or a service desk team.
ICT and project management certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, or PMP are required.
Data analytics training, AV certifications, RSI platforms, digital signage, AV experience in an international organisation, data analytics, and AV over IP infrastructure experience are desirable.
