SUMMARY: The United States Embassy in Kampala is accepting applications for the 2027 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in selected STEM, health, technology, natural resources, energy, food security, and policy-related fields. The fellowship supports mid-career professionals through graduate-level study, professional development, and an internship placement with a U.S. organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in a 10-month fellowship programme at a leading U.S. university.
Undertake tailored academic coursework and independent study.
Complete a professional internship with a U.S. organisation in the applicant’s field of expertise.
Build leadership, policy, and professional expertise in selected priority fields.
Strengthen professional networks and long-term cooperation with U.S. institutions.
Apply fellowship learning to public service, institutional development, or sector leadership.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
At least 5 years of full-time professional experience after obtaining the first degree.
Mid-career professional with demonstrated leadership qualities.
Record of public service.
