SUMMARY: Yalelo Uganda is seeking a Fry Collector to support hatchery operations and daily fry collection. The role focuses on fry collection, sampling, stocking, grading, data recording, pond checks, broodstock feeding, and hatchery hygiene.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and check fry collection materials before collection.
Inspect SR hapas for readiness, security, wind protection, and damage.
Check dissolved oxygen levels before fry collection.
Collect fry, conduct sampling, and stock fry into hapas.
Support fry grading, broodstock feeding, and hatchery cleanliness.
Maintain fry collection nets, disinfect materials, capture fry data, and keep records.

Requirements
At least Uganda Certificate of Education.
Certificate in Fisheries Management and Technologies is preferred.
Ability to swim and be comfortable on water.
Ability to do simple mathematics and basic calculations.
Good communication, reading, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Physical strength, stamina, agility, teamwork, and ability to do precision work.
