SUMMARY: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Facilities Manager to support operations and maintenance of Church and mission facilities in Kampala. The role focuses on facility maintenance, property management, contractor supervision, inspections, renovations, lease coordination, and team management.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and implement the annual operations and maintenance plan.

  • Inspect facilities regularly to ensure compliance with approved standards.

  • Manage staff, contractors, vendors, and resources for facility operations.

  • Secure contractors and vendors and ensure services meet required specifications.

  • Coordinate facility needs with mission leadership and respond to service requests.

  • Support apartment lease negotiations, renewals, fleet needs, renovation scoping, and monthly facility inspections.

Requirements

  • Must be worthy of a temple recommend.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in facility management, property management, or a related industry; MBA with 2 years of relevant experience may be considered.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience managing others.

  • Knowledge of facility and property management, construction procedures, business practices, safety, and fire codes.

  • IFMA FMP Facility Management Professional training is required.
