Senior Data Officer for Ethiopia

SUMMARY: IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Data Officer to support its Ethiopia mission projects from Kampala or remotely. The role focuses on data systems, dashboards, research cycle support, data cleaning and analysis, data quality, and technical supervision of country data teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Ethiopia mission teams with information products, dashboards, data analysis, and research outputs.
Support assessment teams with methodologies, tools, sampling, data cleaning, analysis, and process automation.
Review information products and dissemination strategies in line with IMPACT research standards.
Improve data quality, geospatial data management, monitoring, and technical information systems.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and capacity building to data officers and country data teams.
Maintain Power BI and Shiny dashboards and support development of new dashboards.
Expected start date is 1 June 2026.

Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong skills in R and data cleaning or analysis workflows.
Proven skills in Power BI and Shiny.
Excellent communication and data visualization skills.
Ability to multitask across several research cycles and work independently with colleagues and partners.
Fluency in English; previous experience in the region is highly preferred.
