SUMMARY: Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board is seeking an Assessment Officer, Test Development and Moderation (Allied Health Professionals) to support Allied Health Professionals assessment programs. The role focuses on test item development, examination preparation and packing, centre verification, and support for item analysis and examination processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set and file test items for Allied Health Professionals assessment according to course units.
Prepare examination envelopes with required paper details in readiness for printing.
Pack Allied Health Professionals examinations and maintain a safe environment during the packing process.
Verify that examination envelopes match the correct paper codes and packing requirements.
Check that each assessment centre has the correct number of packages and scripts as per the packing list.
Support bagging processes and conduct data entry for multiple-choice item analysis.

Requirements
Honours Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health field or Medical Education from a recognized institution.
Advanced Tutors Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education if the applicant lacks a basic degree in Medical Education.
Registration and a valid practicing license from the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council.
Applicants with an Advanced or Higher Diploma awarded before 2002 may qualify if they also hold a qualification in Medical Education.
At least 3 years’ experience training Allied Health Professionals at certificate or diploma level in a health professionals training institution.
At least 2 years’ experience in setting, moderating, and marking written, OSPE, or OSCE assessments for Allied Health Professionals in a health professionals’ assessment institution.
