SUMMARY: Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board is seeking an Assessment Officer, Registration to support trainee and candidate registration processes, including management of the Health Training Identification Number. The role focuses on registration accuracy, assessment support, data integrity, compliance checks, and maintenance of trainee records in line with UHPAB standards and guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute practical and theoretical assessment activities.
Coordinate logistics for assessment materials, venues, invigilators, and practical examiners.
Support marking, scoring, administrative data collection, and consistency of assessment processes.
Handle trainee registration tasks, including data verification, register entries, and processing of registration documents.
Update and maintain accurate trainee records and respond to trainee or institution queries on registration status.
Conduct on-site validation checks, document compliance with UHPAB standards, and support accreditation follow-up.

Requirements
Honours Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health, or Medical Education from a recognized institution.
Advanced Tutors Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education if the applicant lacks a basic degree in Medical Education.
Registration and a valid practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council or Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council.
Applicants with an Advanced or Higher Diploma awarded before 2002 may qualify if they also hold a qualification in Medical Education.
At least 3 years’ experience training nurses, midwives, or allied health professionals at certificate or diploma level in a health professionals training institution.
At least 2 years’ experience in setting, moderating, and marking written and practical assessments in a health professionals’ assessment institution.
