SUMMARY: Spear Motors Limited is seeking a Parts Operations Supervisor to support day-to-day operations of the Parts Department in Kampala. The role focuses on workflow supervision, customer communication, parts coordination, stock monitoring, and service delivery improvement within the dealership environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily Parts Department operations including inquiries, quotations, approvals, picking, dispatch, and customer updates.

  • Monitor team workflow, follow up pending approvals, delayed transactions, outstanding quotations, unresolved inquiries, and back orders.

  • Manage customer communication through telephone, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms and provide timely updates on parts availability, prices, lead times, and delivery status.

  • Review urgent workshop parts needs, customer escalations, stock movement, special orders, and operational concerns.

  • Ensure proper documentation of inquiries, quotations, approvals, orders, dispatch records, customer feedback, and operational reports.

  • Support team training, coaching, performance monitoring, and preparation of regular operational reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering or other relevant field.

  • Diploma with strong and relevant practical experience in stores and inventory management is an added advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in stores or parts operations, preferably in a reputable motor vehicle dealership or structured automotive environment.

  • Strong knowledge of motor vehicle spare parts, parts interpretation, and dealership parts operations.

  • Experience in genuine vehicle parts handling, workshop support, parts ordering, quotations, stock coordination, customer inquiries, and customer feedback.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and digital customer service skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership or ERP systems is an added advantage.
