OBJECTIVE:
Lead AWF’s private sector engagement to unlock investment in Africa’s water and sanitation sector through project pipeline development, transaction support, and resource mobilization.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Develop a prioritized pipeline of 10 water and sanitation projects eligible for AfDB Non-Sovereign Operations (NSO) and AUSII financing.

• Provide financial structuring and transaction advisory for 10 priority projects, including modeling, risk assessment, and de-risking instruments.

• Operationalize the African Urban Sanitation Investment Initiative (AUSII), mobilizing concessional, blended finance, and guarantees.

• Mobilize USD 60–80 million to capitalize the AWF Special Fund.

• Design and roll out standardized PPP/investment toolkits and a capacity-building program.

• Conduct an endline evaluation covering Cohorts I–III of the POWER Accelerator.
